Dear York Attractions

I need my carer as much as my wheelchair. Let them in with me. Do not penalise me by making me pay for their ticket too. Do not make me argue this with you at the entrance, humiliatingly having to advocate for my rights. Exhausting myself before I'm even through your gates.

Do not make me tell you why I need my carer. You only need to know I need her. She is not a luxury item I bring as an accessory.

Help me to access your great attraction as easily as non disabled people. When you don't, I tell people and their shocked faces and references to the law say all you need to hear.
